I have arrived, and it’s been non-stop from the moment the plane touched down.

Adventure awaits and I’m so thankful for a place to call home for my 23 Days in Lima.

I’m staying with one of our newest advisors to Rainforest Partnership and he has been the most gracious host. I find Peruvians a bit like Cajuns, welcoming, eager to show off their culture and home, and willing to give everything they can to their guest.

The whole hose is adorned in paintings, sculpture, and other artwork from his family. He is a third generation Peruvian from one of the oldest Peru families, and the culture in his house alone is better than some museums I have visited.

My room is above a little garden and in the morning (around 6AM) these same three birds sit on my window and just chat away. I’ll try and catch a picture to post tomorrow morning.
