Inspire!

As I mentioned I hope to inspire you throughout my journey but none of this would be possible without those that inspire me.

My Boss. At her core, she embodies the generosity, compassion, and integrity that all great leaders possess. She is someone I’m learning so much from and I know she will be a mentor of mine for a lifetime. She truly cares and lives her passion every day. And I am honored that she will start this journey with me, and prepare me for the second part of my trip- Amazon Phase II.

My Co-worker. Mrs. Liz Anne (that is what we call her in the office), she is the youngest in the office but she has the biggest heart, and more passion and drive than any other 23 year-old I have met. She reminds me of myself when I was her age and I can’t wait to see her grow at Rainforest Partnership, and conquer the world!

My Best Friend. Some may call him my man friend others call him my boy friend, but I call him my best friend. He happily goes along on this journey (that he didn’t sign up for). The sacrifices he makes for me to take this journey, to follow my passion, is something I never expected to find. He inspires me to be me and loves me through it all; bad habits, crazy ideas and all.

My father. I believe my purpose in life is to serve. From ten years of non-profit work to my overwhelming desire to host a dinner party every night I want nothing more than to take care of others. My father has spent his whole life serving, he has given everything he has to anyone who will take it. Nothing stops his need to serve, an I can only hope to serve others as he does daily.

I’ve been lucky to be surrounded by inspirational people my whole life and there are honestly too many to mention them all. People, places, nature, ideas they all inspire me and hopefully I can share some of my inspiration and inspire you throughout my journey through the Amazon.
